Talking Business Australia
THE STORY OF TALKING BUSINESS AUSTRALIA
It’s easy to love regional Australia. The laidback lifestyle, the tight-knit local communities, not to mention the amazing businesses that are sometimes literally *hidden* away.
When two ambiverted (that’s a mix between an extrovert and introvert for those playing along at home) digital marketers crossed paths a few years ago, it was like meeting a long-lost friend.
Soon these two wordsmiths realised that not only did they have a lot in common, but the weaknesses of one business woman were the strength of the other.
Melissa has always been a country girl at heart. She tried her hand at living in the city and got cold feet quicker than an eskimo in a snow storm. Little did she know at the time, but living in regional Australia would allow her to still build a career and business that she loves. (This was despite what she may have thought to be true growing up in a small country town).
Cath, on the other hand, was a city slicker her whole life. She grew up in the big smoke, building her marketing career the only way that she thought possible – by staying in the city. That was until her husband and her felt the increasing costs of city life were taking time away from their new family life with two young daughters.
So with much trepidation and excitement, they embarked on a seachange back to her husband’s hometown on the mid north coast of New South Wales.
Talking Business with Regional Australia came to life through a combined love of living in regional Australia and the knowledge that businesses can boom beyond the city limits.
